In the observance of current public health circumstances, the Central Connecticut Celtic Cultural Committee, sponsor of the Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade, has decided to cancel its parade previously scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2021. “This decision was not made lightly and we have everyone’s health and well-being at the forefront of our decision,” said General Chairperson of the Central CT Celtic Cultural Committee Elizabeth Saunders. Parade organizers recognize and thank the many volunteers whose tireless fundraising efforts, over the past nearly five decades, have made this annual celebration a success. Additionally, the Committee appreciates its longstanding collaboration with the City of Hartford, without whose assistance and cooperation the parade would not be possible.
As long as public health conditions allow, the Committee is planning a celebration of Irish culture with a “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” event for the fall of 2021, in the Capital City, in anticipation of the Fiftieth Annual Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
